| Things for which you should look and watch out |
|
Sri Lanka is not Mallorca. We cannot advice you to pick up your trunk and sun oil, just for flying to the island. Here it isn't recommendable.
No matter how beautiful and wonderful this island is - it is not Europe and not at all Switzerland. Therefore we recommend to everybody to prepare mentally and
physically a little bit for the "Pearl of the Indian Ocean". You also have to make some honest and critical considerations first.
Sri Lanka is a very poor country. We should be conscious that our hygiene standard is a luxury, which is not natural by any means in each country. That does not mean
that humans do not maintain themselves, completely in the opposite, but you can't expect a tiled bathroom and a flashing toilet everywhere. Who attaches importance
to such standards, is better waived in luxury lodgings as for example the Hilton in Colombo or the St. Andrew's in Nuwara Eliya.
Who loose-pulls on own first, should consider very well, what he does and where he goes. And you should inform yourself very well about country and people. One thing
is fact: Sri Lanka is Asia and a tropical country and climate, flora and fauna is totally different to our homeland.
