Kandy Dancer

Day 1: Pinnawela / Kandy

By passing Colombo we are going to Pinnawela, where you will visit the elephants house. Lonely and helpless baby elephants get a very nice home. You will watch them by getting their feeding-bottle and by taking their daily morning bath in a river close by.

After this you will visit the teaplantage Giragama. Their you will have a cup of tea and a cake.

In Peradeniya near Kandy you will see the most beautiful tropical garden of the world. There you will also take your lunch.
In the late afternoon you make a city-tour in Kandy and you will visit the "Temple of the Tooth Relic", one of the most revered sanctuary's all over the world for the Buddhist. If you like you can go after for watching the "Kandy Dancers". Later you will have your dinner in the hotel where you are going to stay overnight.

Day 2: Polonnaruwa / Habarana

After having your breakfast we are going to Dambulla. On the way you will visit a baticfabric and also a spice-garden. In Dambulla you will see the cave temple after some little walking up the mountain.
Than you are going to have your lunch.

In the afternoon we will reach Polonnaruwa, beforee it was hidden by the jungle and it was the capital of Sri Lanka. Remains from the temple, the kings palace and the 13 m long Buddha statue will give you some impression from the old times and the culture of the old kingdom.

Dinner and stay overnight in Polonnaruwa.


Sigiriya frescoes

Day 3: Sigiriya / Back home

One of the highlights of every Sri Lanka trip is the adventure going up the Sigiriya rock. In the 5th century A.D. there was a fortress. The famous drawings of the "Cloud Damsels" you will reach after the half walking. Watch the jungle and you will never forget your visit here.

Lunch in Kurunegala and than back in your hotel.
